Terms of Use

The service
Image Resizer is a free tool for resizing images to preset or custom pixel dimensions. It is provided by Sarah Okafor, practising barrister in England and Wales, trading as Chambers of Sarah Okafor. It is free of charge for everyone, and image processing happens locally on your device.
Not professional advice
The tool resizes the images you choose to the dimensions you configure. Nothing in it, and nothing on this site, is legal or professional advice, and using it does not create a barrister-client relationship. Photo requirements for passports, visas, driving licences and other official documents vary by country and issuing authority, and change over time. You are responsible for checking the current requirements of the relevant authority or platform before submitting a photo.
Your responsibilities
- You use the tool entirely at your own risk.
- You are solely responsible for verifying that a resized image meets the requirements of the authority or platform it is intended for before you use it.
- You remain responsible for the confidentiality of your own images and devices.
- You must only use images you are entitled to use.
My liability
The tool is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, I accept no liability for resizing errors, for rejected applications or submissions, for loss of data arising from your device or browser, or for any loss arising from reliance on the tool. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
No account
The tool needs no account, and there is none to create. It collects no personal data about you. My Privacy Policy explains this in full.
Intellectual property
The service, its design and its code belong to Sarah Okafor. Images you resize from your own files are yours.
Changes and governing law
I may update the service and these terms; the current version will always be at this address. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
